Internships are short duration awards for individuals with little or no research experience. Internships deliver a range of taught and academically supervised components that engage and expose you to a clinical academic research environment. As an intern, you will develop the practical skills required to undertake a research project or to develop a project idea, supported by an expert supervisor.

The Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowships (PCAF) fund personalised programmes of academic training that equip awardees with the skills and experience to access doctoral-level funding, and give dedicated time to prepare an application for a competitive, peer-reviewed doctoral level research training fellowship.

Title Summary (including web link) Date/Time/Venue Good Clinical Practice (GCP) eLearning Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is the international ethical, scientific and practical standard to which all clinical research is conducted. It is recommend that team members leading and delivering research complete, as a minimum, complete the Introduction to Good Clinical Practice course.
This eLearning course is available through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). This NIHR course is free and available to NHS, UK universities, and other publicly funded organisations conducting and supporting clinical research. You can access GCP courses via our learning platform NIHR Learn.
