Day 9 – Computers for all
We know the difficulty of getting a computer in the hospital that is free from intrusion from others. Our libraries are open 24 hours.
We have 3 patient information NHS computers (bookable 2hr slots between 8am- 5.30pm or first serve basis after hours in Truro only), 12 NHS staff computers (printer attached – 5p a sheet; drop in basis) and many more University networked computers for Plymouth and Exeter. There are also lots of study spaces around the library with plugpoints for your own devices.
Our library computer areas are quiet 🤫 areas where studying or catching up on work can happen. We even have bookable headphones 🎧 if you need to listen in. We allow food and drink too if you need to use them over lunchtime.
