By the end of the session you will be familiar with:

  • The different databases available
  • The principles of constructing a search strategy
  • Combining search terms
  • Printing and saving results

Pre-course requirements:

All participants must:

  • Have a Novell login.
  • An OpenAthens account (registration may be possible during session).

This course will introduce the concept of Systematic Reviews. Learners will also be enabled to construct a research question and carry out a sensitive literature search.

Do you need a brief definition and explanation of some basic principles of critical appraisal? This course involves an interactive task and provides an awareness of tools to assist with critical appraisal.
