How to search effectively

Learn about PICO, which resources will help you find the best evidence and how to search databases such as Medline, Embase, PsycInfo and Cinahl.

We can also guide you on how to search if you are doing a systematic review.

Critical appraisal and journal clubs

Choose from a range of activity based sessions designed to improve or refresh your knowledge on reading research papers or to get a journal club started.

Finding the past: the history in our professions

A series of informal lectures on all aspects of the history of health and medicine, inspired by the collection of historic medical equipment held by Cornwall Health Library.
